My starting point for this project was Patterns in Nature. I studied texture, composition, colour, patterns and repetition. I wanted to incorporate fabrics and printing techniques into my project so
I mastered the art of Batik printing. I was inspired by the traditional Kandyan art and design found
in Kandy, Sri Lanka. I used these patterns and symbolism to create a saree in batik as my final work.
